Homeschool Classes

As a homeschool mom myself, I realize how challenging it can be to meet all of your children's needs all of the time. Sometimes a different face is all our kids need to finally "get it"...whatever "it" is!

I offer ongoing classes, al a carte style, or in 9 week chunks. If your child has struggled with any of the following concept/skills/content areas, I have a class for that!

• Basic math (addition, multiplication, subtraction, division)
• Fractions (recognizing, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, simplifying, and converting)
• Algebra (from the basic way of how to set up an equation to quadratic formula)
• Geometry (basic shapes to proving congruence)
• Mental math
• Word problems/problem solving at all levels

• Reading (phonics, fluency, comprehension)
• Writing (basic structures of language like parts of speech and the writing process to research reports and drafting essays)

This is a growing list, as I see the need, find or create the curriculum, or locate another tutor to assist, more classes will be added. I do consider special requests, so if there's something you don't see listed, don't hesitate to shoot me an email, text, or just call me and talk about your idea. 

Pricing will vary, depending on class size, location, and intensity of the material. The average is $45 per 1 1/2 hour session. I usually add $5 per student for supplies, and give discounts for registering and paying for a complete class. A quick sample of how this works is outlined on the Summer Classes page.
